Will I receive the same product that I see in the picture?

Yes , although our pictures are representations of the actual products we sell , our pictures are fairly accurate. There may however be minor discrepancies.
Rest assured that if you are unsatisfied, we will return and / or refund any product that is not to our clients satisfaction as long as all the original packaging is intact and accounted for and the product is unused , undamaged and has not been installed or mounted.

Do I have to make an online payment?

No , you do not have to make an online payment. You may pay using any of our various options that we have available.
We understand that many people are hesitant when it comes to paying online. Feel free to pay using the following :

  • EFT ( Good release on clearance or immediate clearance)
  • Cash - Collection
  • COD ( cash on delivery) OR Payment on delivery- This option requires immediate
    clearance of funds on accepting delivery.
    Delivery fee of R450.00 will apply as this
    method requires our driver to deliver and not a standard courier delivery.
  • Collection and payment upon receipt of goods.
How long will an installation take?
Generally speaking , typical DOMESTIC inverter, back up and solar installation time ranges as follows:
  • A back up only inverter installation takes about 1 to 3 days to install.
  • Solar panel installation 2 to 3 days. ( Domestic ) Every job is different and factors that affect the time of installation include:
  • Distance from the position of the inverter to the position of the DB board.
  • Whether the house is single phase or 3 phase .
  • If we find electrical faults in a house that require repairs , maintenance or rectification before proceeding with the installation.
  • If the client requests a inverter that is actually too small and we need to split circuits in distribution board of the house to lessen the load on the inverter.
  • Ease or difficulty for routing of cables from inverter to solar panels on the roof.
Do we get a C.O.C. (Certificate of compliance)?

Yes, all our solar and inverter installations in Cape Town are signed off by a registered electrician with a valid wireman’s licence. EFI also employs a registered electrical engineer who handles all our SSEG (small scale solar electricity generation ) applications with the City of Cape Town.

How will a back-up inverter installation affect my electricity bill?

Having a back up inverter does not actually increase your electricity bill. To some , it may seem as though they are experiencing an increase in their electricity expenditure, however their perceived increase is actually the amount that they were saving during the time of loadshedding.
Our Inverters and lithium ion batteries store and discharge electricity very efficiently ( with very little loss) Because the inverter and battery installation eliminates loadshedding, some people may concluded that the inverter has increased their electricity consumption. This is simply not the case. Adding solar panels to a inverter back up system will obviously reduce the clients electricity costs drastically as they harvest solar energy from the sun.

What guarantee do we get with EFIs inverter and solar installations and equipment ?

All our inverters, lithium ion batteries and solar panels come with a 5 to 10 year guarantee.

  • Our Deye inverter range comes with a 5 year guarantee and extends to 11 years when paired with a Volta lithium ion battery.
  • Our Sunsynk inverter range also comes with a 5 year guarantee and extends to 10 years when matched with a Sunsynk lithium ion battery.
  • All our lithium ion batteries come with a standard 5 to 10 year guarantee.
  • Our solar panels come with 10 to 25 year linear performance guarantees.
  • Our workmanship carries a 2 year guarantee and any changes requested after final payment and handover or alterations and call outs thereafter will be subject to additional labour and material cost.
  • Should any other technician , person or electrician tamper or alter any installation without our consent, EFI reserves the right to terminate any aftersales services or agreement including guarantees and warrantees on our installations thereafter. This will / may not void the guarantees and warrantees from the supplier.
